What is Corrosion ?

Corrosion is a process whereby material is chemically dissolved and typically oxidized. The actual process of corrosion is electrochemical and can be quite complex. Special alloys give resistance to Corrosion. Corrosion occurs in a metal by way of oxidation or by reduction. Nickel alloys have been developed since the 1970’s to make processes resistant to corrosion and provide longer life.
